*Amphibious excavator is widely used in water conservancy project, dredging project, drain with silty clay, excavation project in beach, silted trench, swamplands and low water area ... where the engineering watercraft and general machinery can not enter. The amphibious excavator is multifunctional with ultra-low specific pressure, so the amphibious excavator is fit for work in land, swampland, and low water area. The walking part is sealed pontoon surrounded with crawler, so the amphibious excavator can float in water.

The silty clay mixed with water is with bigger density than water, and it give bigger floating force to the amphibious excavator, so there is no doubt the amphibious excavator can float in silty clay mixed with water.

As the amphibious excavator float in water, the amphibious excavator walking crawler system can not help much to move, so the floated amphibious excavator move very very slow in water by the walking crawler system. Usually the floated amphibious excavator move itself quicker by the arm to dig the bottom ground.

 

The floated amphibious excavator will move and swing or even roll over as excavating, since there is no any support on its bottom. So the amphibious excavator prefer to go low water area then start excavating work with support of the soft ground.

For working in deeper water, we can supply you another option: side pontoons with spud piles for installation with the amphibious excavator. The side pontoons and spud piles are dismountable type for easy assembly and disassembly.
